I can't believe it's the last day of January already. We're currently suffering through the coldest temperatures in 25 years. Yesterday it felt like -40F and right now it feels like -25F. Wisconsin has declared a state of emergency due to the cold. Mail services have been suspended until it warms up. My hibernation plan involves a lot of Netflix and knitting and trying to stay warm around here. Getting out of bed in the morning is the hardest thing to do when it's this cold.
My favorite way to start my morning routine is with a thirty-second dance party, usually done while I pour my cup of morning coffee and document it on Instagram (@annagutermuth) for my #annalovesmornings series. I put together a playlist of all the songs I used in my stories this month so you can throw your own thirty-second dance parties! Re-watching Grey's Anatomy from this beginning again is definitely influencing my music tastes—I've been loving all the older Tegan and Sara songs that remind me of high school.
